Toolroom Milling Machines is a special type universal milling machines – can mill in the vertical and horizontal. It is also a knee-type milling machine – vertical screw performs vertical table feed. The table of the machine moves in the space of two directions. The vertical and longitudinal directions. Feed rate achieved by the movement of the beam (overarm), which is screwed to the head vertical. The head may be swivel, tiltable or universal. The distinguishing feature of this machine is the ability to remove the working table. In place of the table, then you can mount the device, for example: dividing head.
Tool milling machines are designed for various work tools and for the rich have special equipment. Equipped with the most will find:
Swivel working table
The table can be mounted instead of the basic machine table. The table has one or two axes. Both axes are scaled in the degrees. This allows milling at a specified angle.
Rotary table – Horizontal rotary table
The rotary table most often occurs as an additional attachment. It is mounted on the work table of the machine. Scaled in degrees or millimeters (inches). Allows, for example, drilling holes in the the division, turning the work piece by a predetermined angle etc.
Horizontal – vertical rotary table
In the vertical position works as a dividing head.
Overarm
We can distinguish two types of overarms. The first type is the overarm, which allow horizontal milling. We have a built-in version of the machine or external – instead of the head bolt upright. The second type, the auxiliary overarms on which are mounted attachment, for example, dividing head and tailstock.
Tailstock
Tailstock is support (steady) for long workpieces. Both centering and stiffens the whole system (dividing, work piece, tailstock).
Angular machine vice
Angular and swivel machine vice
Shaft vice
Dividing head
